Dear Diary
The first after a short holiday… One week disappear just like that! Now we’re back to the faculty doing the routine that we’ve been doing before. In today’s class, nothing really exciting happens since everyone still in holiday’s mood. Even Dr. Edwin himself looks a little bit gloomy himself.
Today we discussed about the diary that he had asked us to download from the internet. Some were accepted, some were rejected (including mine). Luckily for me since I personally didn’t really favor that type of topic. Dr. Edwin suggested that I should look for something that would interest the students rather than myself. He came out with the idea of looking for some footballer’s diary. Gladly! I am sure I’ll come up with one after this.
Using diary as a teaching material is just one of the topic that we discussed today. As we all know, people usually write interesting stuff in their diary and for that reason alone, I believe it can sparks interest among the students to actually read it. Other than for academic purpose, people also read diary as a source of entertainment and some even read it to gain information, especially if it something to do with traveling.
It is quite surprising to find out that diary actually had a lot to offer when we use it wisely. The important thing is to make sure that the content is authentic, and we also need to be extra careful when reading diary written by anonymous writer since it can only be bluffing all the way until the very end.
