The 5 Points
Class was cancelled on Friday, most probably because our instructor was in needs at other places, so we have to let him go. Anyway, it’s back to business as usual on Monday. For this week, it is only a matter of making things perfect. This is regarding our thesis statement where we spend the whole one hour in getting everyone’s points sort out. In my case, I already have about four legitimate points. Three of them were accepted last week, while the other one needs to undergo some makeover. Hopefully Dr. Edwin would like this one better than the last one.
Working on “The Lottery” is far more difficult than I would have imagined. I always have this funny idea about the toughness in working with a longer text. Now, it is them, my friends, who have become the subject of envy for me! Since they’re working on a longer story than the one that I’ve chosen, they are swarmed with points, then again, if they know how to finds it!
As for myself, working on a short story has started to takes it toll on me. It’s been like a points-shortage and it was very hard skimming on the story, over and over again just for the sake of getting a point. Anyway, what done is done, and I’m not going to change my thesis statement. With legion of works needs to be completed before the semester break, it would interesting to see how I would hold my nerves and avoid myself from being cracked up.
