Position Paper
As everybody already knows, all Dr. Edwin’s classes (Monday onwards) were cancelled last week due to some emergency that he had. That means, we don’t have any class on Friday, but for today, we do have class and for one whole hour, we managed to watch some of our friends presenting their position paper regarding the thesis statement that they have chosen.
Although only five of us had the chance to present thus correcting whatever mistakes that we’ve made, it actually beneficial for the whole class as well. By listening to the works of my friends, I now have a vivid description on what to do and also what to correct or change in my first draft. On Friday, we’re going to have maybe two to three hours of class so that everyone can present their works in front of the class.
Later today, we have our meeting with our supervisor regarding the research paper that we supposed to submit alongside our position paper. This task carries about 40% of the whole marks. As for myself, I carried out a study on poems by Wilfred Owen, primarily focusing on the theme of ‘war’ in most of his poems. Everything is fine and my supervisor quite happy with my works, so, I can carry on writing as I need to submit the first draft on the first day after the holiday.
