Female Rights?

This week started rather shabbily for us, the under-graduate students, for having to witness the joy of other people receives their bachelor’s degree. My best friend is actually one of them, graduating in Bachelor of Forestry Science alongside my other friends who are from the same course. Ever wonder why I have so many friends in Forestry Science course? It is because I used to be with them before I switch my course to TESL.

Anyway, first thing first. Today, Dr. Edwin has again cancelled his class so I reckoned we’re going to have a two hours session on Friday, which I think is something that is quite good since we only have one class on Friday. Basically, there’s nothing much to talk about the course for this week.

Last week however, was very interesting (other than the fact that I’m late to class for the second time this semester!). We all had managed to get the copy of poems that Dr. Edwin provided and spend the full two hours session discussing about the issue of women rights in the society. Surprisingly, male voice is being kept unheard that day except for Dr. Edwin’s voice. I only remember that only Atlas and myself voiced out our opinions when other choose to be silence. Anyway, we have to be extra careful when talking about this issue since there are only seven of us (magnificent 7) in the class of more than 50 people.

It is always an interesting issue to discuss because it keeps people talking and that is very healthy for the whole class. By this week, all of us should have come out with our thesis statement for the project paper. Hopefully this would be the final draft since I’m already roaring to go writing my research paper.
